Dear cycling community,
I don't think I have to explain how much Changing Gears means to me and that I will miss it when I move in a few weeks.
Three anonymous members of the Bicycling in Greensboro community have issued a challenge grant. Between today and July 17th these generous donors will match all contributions to the Changing Gears program up to $1,500. These anonymous donors hope that their contribution will inspire others to spur others to donate to the program and raise at least $3,000 to ensure the program has the funds to continue its great work.
To date, the Changing Gears program has educated hundreds of individuals from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds to safe cycling practices and has provided them an alternative means of transportation to work, to run errands and to just get around town.
To contribute, EITHER go to
bikegso.org and make a donation via its Paypal mechanism. When you go the the website, you'll see a "How to Help" tab, click on that. If you use this mechanism, sure to indicate the contribution is for Changing Gears OR you can write a check to Bicycling in Greensboro with "Changing Gears" in the memo line.
